Cola Raises Women’s Osteoporosis Risk

Cola may not be so sweet for women’s bones, according to new research that suggests the beverage boosts osteoporosis risk.

“Among women, cola beverages were associated with lower bone mineral density,” said lead researcher Katherine Tucker, director of the Epidemiology and Dietary Assessment Program at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University.

There was a pretty clear dose-response, Tucker added. “Women who drink cola daily had lower bone mineral density than those who drink it only once a week,” she said. “If you are worried about osteoporosis, it is probably a good idea to switch to another beverage or to limit your cola to occasional use.”

About 55 percent of Americans, mostly women, are at risk for developing osteoporosis, according to the National Osteoporosis Foundation.
In the study, Tucker’s team collected data on more than 2,500 participants in the Framingham Osteoporosis Study, averaging just below 60 years of age. The researchers looked at bone mineral density at three different hip sites, as well as the spine.

They found that in women, drinking cola was associated with lower bone mineral density at all three hip sites, regardless of age, menopause, total calcium and vitamin D intake, or smoking or drinking alcohol. Women reported drinking an average of five carbonated drinks a week, four of which were cola.

Bone density among women who drank cola daily was almost 4 percent less, compared with women who didn’t drink cola, Tucker said. “This is quite significant when you are talking about the density of the skeleton,” she said.

The reason may have to do with phosphoric acid in cola, which can cause leeching of calcium from bones to help neutralize the acid, Tucker said.
One expert agrees that women should reduce the amount of cola they drink.

“I would expect this finding,” said Dr. Mone Zaidi, director of the Mount Sinai Bone Program at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, in New York City. “It’s probably a caffeine-related problem.”

Women should limit their caffeine intake, Zaidi said. “Caffeine interferes with calcium absorption, which results in less bone formation,” he said.
American Journal of Clinical Nutrition

Dr. Keith and Laurie Nemec’s comments on Cola Raises Women’s Osteoporosis Risk.
This research stated something that has been known in alternative healing circles for quite a number of years and what that is that soft drinks cause an increase of osteoporosis, they leach calcium out of the bones. Now as this study showed, it was one of two possible reasons why it does this. It does this number 1 because of the caffeine in the cola and as the study stated that caffeine affects calcium absorption. So, if there is caffeine going into the body what will happen is the body will not be able to absorb the calcium properly. The other possibility was due to the phosphoric acid in the cola, cola being acidic, it leaches calcium from the bones to neutralize the acid. We can expand this on saying it’s not just cola, its sugar, it’s anything that is acidic to the body.

Really osteoporosis comes from two reasons. These are the reasons people get osteoporosis. Number one is because they are putting acidic substances into the body. The body is alkaline, the blood is alkaline and it must maintain its alkalinity or you will die. So, whatever is acid that goes into the body the body has to buffer the acid and it does that most conveniently by puling calcium out of the bones, because calcium is alkaline and it alkalizes the acid, it neutralizes it.So, it’s not just cola we’re talking about, it’s all things that turn into acid into the body and let’s state them right now. Animal products, this is meat, chicken, fish, this is eggs, dairy products, this is all animal products are acidic in the body. This is refined starches, flours and sugars. Of course cola having tremendous amount of refined sugar is going to be acidic on the body, but so is bread, so is pasta, so is all refined flours and sugars. So the things that we have to eliminate from our diet are refined sugars, refined flours, these breads, these pastas, these things that turn into sugar that are acidic in the body and of course the animal products which are highly acidic. The most acidic substance that is put into the body is refined sugar, but then right after that is the acidicness of animal products and refined starches.

The other interesting note is caffeine. Caffeine inhibits the absorption of calcium, affects calcium metabolism. This is important because we want to make sure the rule for the health is always, don’t do something that’s good for one thing and bad for another thing. It has to be good for all things. Caffeine is found in coffee, it’s found in cola’s, it’s found in teas, it’s found in chocolate, it’s found in all these things. So we don’t want to put caffeine into the body because first of all it over stimulates the adrenal glands, which puts you into adrenaline stress mode, which makes the body more acidic which also makes the body kick into a fight, flight response, which in doing that it shuts down the immune system and the digestive system which if that’s maintained for any length of time is definitely going to lead to inflammation and disease.

So you do not want to put caffeine into the body and you do not want to put anything that is acidic into the body. Of course that is sugar, but that is starches, that’s breads, that’s pastas that’s meat, that’s beef, chicken, fish, eggs, dairy products all of it. What’s the other thing that causes osteoporosis? The other thing that causes osteoporosis is lack of muscle contraction. So when you don’t use your muscles enough and don’t put stimulus on those bones by the tugging of the muscles and tendons on the bones, the bones will leach calcium. This is well documented when any astronaut goes into space they lose calcium out of their bones if they don’t exercise intensely because they are in a zero gravity situation where the body is not being used, it’s not being stressed, the muscles are not being contracted under the bones. This is why typically women are more osteoporotic than men, because in history men did more physical heavy lifting labor than women did. Women did very intense labor but it wasn’t as muscular intense to build those muscle and pull on those bones. So this is why women in this day and age are more tendency to be osteoporosis than men. Men and women both get it more from diet from eating acid foods which have to be alkalized which pulls the calcium out of the bone, but typically men have a denser bone structure due to the muscle contraction and heavier work load that they have had, or it’s just in their more genetic nature to have more of a heavier muscle mass.

So, how do we affect this? Live the 7 Basic Steps to Total Health each and every day of our life and in those 7 Basic Steps we make sure that the food is living raw plant based in origin which is not acidic at all. It is alkaline and maintains the alkalinity of the body and does not pull any calcium out of the bones.

Physical Fitness Prevents Dementia

Older adults who keep their bodies in shape may be keeping their minds fit as well, according to a study published.

In a study of 460 79-year-olds, UK researchers found that those who performed well on a series of fitness tests also tended to score higher on tests of cognitive abilities, such as verbal skills and proficiency with numbers and spatial organization. The findings suggest that staying fit later in life may slow the development of dementia.

The results are in line with other studies that have linked fitness to better mental performance. In this case, the researchers had some key additional information: study participants’ childhood IQ scores.

All of the men and women had participated in a study that measured their IQ at age 11. Childhood IQ is important because in addition to affecting adulthood cognitive ability, it may sway a person’s odds of staying fit into old age.

But among these study participants, physical fitness seemed to preserve mental acuity regardless of childhood IQ, according to the researchers, led by Dr. Ian J. Deary of the University of Edinburgh.

The findings, Deary explained, suggest that for two people starting out with the same IQ at age 11, the one who’s fitter at age 79 will tend to have better cognitive function.

For the study, the elderly participants took the same cognitive tests that they did at age 11. Their physical fitness was measured in three ways: a walking test, a test of handgrip strength and a test of lung function.

The researchers found that while higher childhood IQ was related to better lung function at age 79, it did not affect the other two fitness measures. All three fitness measures, however, were related to the elderly adults’ cognitive function.

Though it’s not clear why fitness might forestall dementia, one possibility is that it’s by lowering the risks of physical conditions — like high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease — that may affect the brain.

Deary said that, according to the “common cause” hypothesis, mental function in old age is closely tied to other aspects of “bodily well-being,” including fitness.

In addition, some animal research has suggested that exercise has direct beneficial effects on brain cells.

The current study was not designed to test whether exercise improves cognitive abilities. But Deary said that one recent analysis of past studies found that fitness training might benefit older adults’ mental function.

Dr. Keith and Laurie Nemec’s comments on physical fitness prevents dementia
What this study shows was that staying fit later in life may slow the development of dementia. Interestingly enough when two people starting out with the same I.Q. at age eleven, the one who was fitter at age 79 will tend to have better cognitive function. Well let’s just talk about that. Of course you’d have better cognitive function if you exercise, because exercise moves the toxins out of the body and brings the oxygen and nutrients into the cells and this keeps the cells healthy. Whether they are brain cells, heart cells, lung cells, liver cells, whatever cells, whatever gland, organ or tissue, you are going to be healthier when you exercise.   This was focusing on cognitive function, thinking processes.

But it can relate to any organ, gland system of the body. Also was stated was mental function and old age is closely tied to other aspects of body well being including fitness. We liked what this researcher said, causes the common cause hypothesis, when he uses the term bodily well being tied to other aspects of bodily well being. Because it’s when you live a lifestyle of the proper 7 Basic Steps to Total Health each and every day of your life, it ties into the whole bodily well being as they call it, or as we call it total health of body, mind and spirit. And fitness or exercise is one of the 7 Basic Steps. Also stated was fitness training might benefit older adults mental function. So, in this study, they found that not only does it possibly slow or prevent dementia; in this study it showed that it might reverse it. So, what you need to know is your brain is another organ in the body and one of the most important organs because it controls all others. But still it is an organ of the body, it is made of cells and whatever you can do to get food, nutrition, oxygen into the cell and waste products and toxins and any other byproducts metabolism out of the cells, the healthier those cells are going to be, the better they are going to function, the longer they are going to live.

How to Relieve Stress

Everyone experiences stress and many people are stressed every day. But, stress isn’t always obvious. In fact, some people don’t even realize how much stress they’re under until they suffer serious physical consequences of that stress.

According to the American Academy of Family Physicians, some possible signs that you’re under too much stress are:

  • Anxiety
  • Back Pain
  • Stiff neck
  • Depression
  • Fatigue
  • Trouble Sleeping
  • Unexpected Weight Changes
  • headaches
  • Relationship Troubles
  • High Blood Pressure

Still, managing stress or reducing it as much as you can is a smart idea, because constant stress leaves your body flooded with stress hormones, which can increase your risk of heart attack and other serious health problems.

Stress causes physical and psychological reactions. It can alter your sleep.  Stress causes you do go into adrenaline mode or fight, flight, fright reactions that cause the immune system to be suppressed.

One way to destress is  with deep breathing. One minute per each hour of the day, you need to sit and do nothing but focus on breathing. This is your recharging.

Exercise is also very important, about 20 minutes 3-4 times per week.

Also very helpful is to write down your thoughts on paper or journal.
Write down your thoughts on paper so you can let things go.

Organization also helps destress yourself. Once you organize your life you can save easily 25% of your time.

Also it is very healing and very stress relieving to laugh and laugh deep.

American Academy of Family Physician’s, HealthDay

Dr. Keith and Laurie Nemec’s comments on how to relieve stress.
What this interesting article showed was some of the signs of stress, which are so varied you would have to have a list many, many pages long, but they did put some of the symptoms of stress in the body, but what I like is the 5 ways that the authors write how to decrease the stress. Let’s just briefly talk about them.

Number one is deep breathing. This is one of the 7 Basic Steps to Total Health, the deep diaphragm breathing. And as they say focus on the breathing and you get away from all the other distractions. This helps not only increased level of health by oxygenating the blood, and oxygen is one of the strongest ways to not only boost the level of health of the cells, but also no pathogens, bacteria, viruses, parasites, candida and cancer cells can live in a highly oxygenated environment. So deep diaphragm breathe, where you focus your mind on your breathing pattern, it fixes and stills the mind. Very powerful in the journey of following the heart as opposing to the mind and this is one of the most critical aspects of your total health.

The other thing she recommends is exercise. Of course, exercise as we always have stated, is another one of the 7 Basic Steps to Total Health, and it will definitely help destress the body. It gets the toxins out of the body; it increases the blood flow which brings the nutrients and oxygen into the body. It increases lymphatic movement which helps triple the white blood count when done with cellular lymphatic exercise and also it helps triple the movement of toxins out of the lymphatic system, which is where the majority of toxins flow through.   It’s the sewer system of the body. So critical is exercise in destressing.

The next thing that she writes is journaling. Journaling is basically putting your thoughts on paper and this is very important. Journaling is a way we can talk it out to ourselves and as she says, which we agree is a good way to release, to let go of things. So journaling is just writing each and every day, things that you don’t want to store in yourself. Another way of looking at journaling is, if you have a situation with a person, who has offended you or has done something to stress you out, you might not want to verbally address the person, but you could write them a letter, never meaning to send it, you can destroy the letter, but the fact of writing it out and expressing the emotion, giving your body the freedom to release that emotion, is very healing and very destressing.

Also she says getting organized. Time and time again, people stress themselves out because their lack of organization and time management. So, the example we’ve used before, if you have a million index cards and a different person’s name on each one of them, and they’re in a pile, how long will it take you to find the one that you’re looking for. It could take hours and hours. Now if those index cards were alphabetically filed, it would take you a matter of seconds to find what you were looking for. The more time we waste in our life due to our lack of organization and time management, the more stressed we will be.

Then lastly she says, learn to have a sense of humor and to make people to laugh and to make others laugh too. This is so critical in health and healing because it boosts the immune system when we laugh, it strengthens the immune system, it secretes all types of hormones that increase level of health in the body, it has been shown to actually reverse disease, and laughter does. It’s been shown on blood tests, the immune system response that laughter does bring. Laughter is just good medicine, it’s good for the heart and soul of a person. So let us learn to laugh in life. Remember in everything in life, we have a choice, no matter how bad a situation is, we have a choice, we can laugh about it or we can cry about it and laughter is always the healthier response.

Celiac Disease And Cognitive Decline

Mayo Clinic researchers have uncovered a connection between celiac disease, a digestive condition triggered by consumption of gluten, and dementia or other forms of cognitive decline. Theories to explain the connection between celiac disease and cognitive decline include the following:

  • Nutritional deficiency
  • Inflammatory cytokines — chemical messengers of inflammation that could contribute to problems in the brain
  • An immune attack on the brain that may occur in some patients with celiac disease

Study investigator, says that the reversal or stabilization of the cognitive symptoms in some patients when they underwent gluten withdrawal.

For celiac disease patients who have already developed cognitive decline, closely following a gluten-free diet may result in some symptom improvement.

Celiac disease occurs in 1 out of 133 people and predominantly affects Caucasians. Symptoms can include intermittent diarrhea, abdominal pain and bloating, or no gastrointestinal symptoms at all. It can also manifest in weight loss, fatigue, anemia, general weakness, foul-smelling or grayish stools that may be fatty or oily, osteoporosis or stunted growth (in children only). The condition may also cause symptoms far outside of the gut. Nine out of 10 times, the disease is not discovered due to the vague nature of the symptoms.
– Fred Hutchinson Cancer ResearchCenter

Dr. Keith and Laurie Nemec’s comments on link between celiac disease in cognitive decline.
What we want to draw from this study is that the cognitive decline( that means your mental function, your brain functioning, decline) within two years of the onset of celiac disease symptoms. Onset or worsening of the symptoms that were already there. What they have found is that celiac disease, which is defined as, symptoms including intermittent diarrhea, abdominal pain and bloating, and one doesn’t even have to have gastrointestinal symptoms although it is a gastrointestinal disease. It could also manifest with weight loss, fatigue, anemia, weakness. All these things are part of the celiac disease.   What we want you to know about celiac disease is it is another manifesting of something that is called maldigestion/malabsorbtion or leaky gut syndrome. With celiac disease people do not tolerate wheat products, or gluten products. Gluten is in wheat, it is in most grains but the key in this is let’s not focus on the celiac, let’s just focus on the maldigestion/malabsorbtion, if we look at it that way we will get a bigger picture. So, the three theories to explain the connection between celiac disease in cognitive decline according to this study, and let’s just call this between maldigestion/malabsorbtion in cognitive decline are these:

  • Nutritional deficiency, and how does that happen. Well if we eat the right food but don’t digest the food, we are going to become deficient and we don’t digest the food when we eat the foods in the wrong form or the foods that are eaten in the cooked form, that are eaten day in and day out. That’s why the number one and two allergies in America are dairy products and wheat products. Why? Because we eat these things day in and day out in a cooked form that can cause reactivity. So this can cause the low level inflammation in the intestinal tract, the leaky gut syndrome, which leads to inflammation in the body, the nutritional deficiency.
  • Inflammatory cytokines. Again, this can go back to the brain and cause the cognitive decline, but what we see is the maldigestion/malabsorbtion is the greatest inroad for inflammation in the body and that inflammation can damage, destroy any cell of any gland, organ or tissue. So one of the greatest causes of all symptoms, conditions or diseases is maldigestion/malabsorbtion.
  • Immune attack on the brain. This is the autoimmune disease where when the body is in a maldigestion/malabsorbtion state, it becomes hyper reactive because with the leaky gut syndrome, large food particles leak through the intestinal barrier, and these large food particles stress the immune system out because your white blood cells which were designed to eat bacteria, virus’s, parasites, candida and cancer cells, now they have to eat these large food particles, your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Well if they’re eating your breakfast, lunch and dinner then they are not going to keep up with the cancer cells and the pathogens but also they are working so hard that it stresses the immune system and it goes into a hyperactivity so it starts fighting everything including your own cells, your own tissues. This is the autoimmune disease and what they are finding about it can affect the brain and the cognitive function.

This study also noted that there was reversal of the cognitive symptoms, where the symptoms went away when they just took the gluten out of the diet. But we’ll take it higher than that when you get away from anything that you don’t digest properly, gluten is a huge one. But when you take away dairy products, when you take away nondigestable, hard to digest toxic animal products, and when you get away from the grains that have been cooked, which turn into gluten, all which turn into the maldigestion/malabsorbtion biproduct. All these things will increase inflammation in the body and when you get away from them, you will increase your level of health.

Toxic Living

This first-person account from National Geographic details the reporter David Ewing Duncan’s quest to identify the chemicals his body has absorbed over his lifetime.

His story began a year ago, shortly after a battery of 14 blood tests to find levels of 320 chemicals residing in his body, acquired “by merely living.” Like, for example, chemicals absorbed from the dump near his boyhood Kansas home that’s now an EPA superfund site.

Recently, Duncan was told, among other alarming news, that his test for the presence of flame-retarding compounds called polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE’s), which can interfere with thyroid function, cause reproductive and neurological problems, and hamper neurological development, showed alarmingly high levels — 10 times the average found in U.S. residents and more than 200 times the average for Swedes.

The probable cause was extensive air travel (some 200,000 miles annually) leading to exposure to airplane interiors sprayed with flame retardants.

Other chemicals that were found in his body include PFOA’s, PCB’s, mercury, and phthalates.

Duncan decided to test his body for mercury after eating swordfish, one of the most toxic fish around, and halibut.

After taking a blood test 24 hours after eating the fish, his levels of mercury had more than doubled to 12 micrograms per liter, a huge increase, since children have experienced measurable losses in IQ with mercury levels in their blood at 5.8 micrograms.

Duncan notes that several illnesses have been rising mysteriously, such as autism, leukemia, male birth defects, and childhood brain cancer, and notes that some experts suspect a link to the many man-made chemicals in our food, water, and air.

Dr. Keith and Laurie Nemec’s comments on toxic living
This was a fascinating article from a reporter of the National Geographic, where he decided to analyze his own health and he did that by doing a series of blood tests. And in these blood tests he found 320 chemicals residing in his body, that he says, were acquired by mere living. Just living you are going to absorb these chemicals because we live in a toxic environment and this is why this generation is the most unhealthy of all generations and your children will be more unhealthy than you are and your grandchildren will be more unhealthy than your children, because they are being exposed to more and more chemicals, and their level of diet and nutrition is becoming less and less. So interesting in this study is that some of the chemicals like polybrominiated diphenyl ethers, or abbreviated PBDE. It said the PBDE’s interfered with thyroid function, cause reproductions and neurological problems and hamper neurological development. These are found very commonly, it’s a chemical that’s found in as a flame retardant, that is put in mattresses in the past and also is found in airplanes, as he found out with his extensive air travel. Other things to note was after he tested his body for mercury after eating fish, and the interesting thing was that 24 hours after eating the fish, his mercury level had doubled to 12 micrograms. This is so huge to understand that at 5.8 micrograms you start to have a measurable loss I.Q. in children. His levels went up to 12 micrograms after eating fish. So, when people say fish is healthy, we disagree, as this study showed it has toxic levels of mercury and with the rise in the chemicals in the environment that are going into the body, it’s so important that we lead a Total Health lifestyle to detoxify our body. Because when we lead the lifestyle that God designed us to lead, we will minimize the chemicals coming into our body, we will maximize the chemical and toxins going out of our body. We will also minimize the harmful effects of these chemicals and toxins once they are in our body.   Another side note is you try to decrease your chemical exposure as much as possible. You would be doing this by eating more organic plant based food, because as you eat up the food chain, you concentrate the toxins that are stored in the fat tissue of animals. This includes all animal products, including fish, as the study showed, it also includes dairy products, any type of animal product can store these toxins. Animal products as opposed to organic plant products, there’s up to a thousand time increase of toxins in the food.

Antibiotics in Animal Products May Cause Drug Resistance in People

According to research people who eat drug-treated poultry may be at increased risk of developing antibiotic resistance.

At issue is the use of virginiamycin, an antibiotic used in farm animals to boost their growth.

The drug is banned in Europe, but farmers are allowed to use it in the United States.

Some studies have suggested that virginiamycin can cause germs in poultry to become super-powered, much as overuse of antibiotics in humans has made some people immune to certain drugs.

This phenomenon, known as drug resistance, happens when an antibiotic is used so often that germs mutate around it.

It’s possible for drug resistance to be spread through food. “When we consume food with organisms that have resistance genes, these genes can be transferred to our natural organisms, causing them to become drug-resistant,” explained Molly Marten, a clinical epidemiologist at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego who’s familiar with the study findings.

Researchers studied to see if people who certain animal products  treated with antibiotics would themselves become resistant to an antibiotic known as quinupristin-dalfopristin, or Synercid.

Synercid treats disease caused by Enterococcus faecium, germs that are normally found in the gut and can cause disease in some cases.
The illnesses caused by these germs are especially common in hospitals among patients whose immune systems are weakened.

The study authors looked for signs of drug resistance by looking at enterococcus bacteria found in stool samples from 105 newly hospitalized patients and 65 healthy vegetarians, all living in the Midwest.

They also looked for signs of drug-resistance in enterococcus bacteria found in 77 samples of ordinary animal products from retail stores and 23 samples of animal products raised without antibiotics.

The researchers said that “plenty” of drug-resistant enterococcus was found in animal products treated with antibiotics.
Furthermore, 38 percent of the hospitalized patients had a genetic trait that might make it easier for them to develop resistance to Synercid; none of the vegetarians had the trait.

Patients who ate the most animal products seemed most susceptible to developing immunity to the drug, as did those who touched the animal products.

“This research makes a strong case for limiting the use of antibiotics in food-producing animals,” added Marten, the epidemiologist. “By using antibiotics for strictly therapeutic purposes (such as treating an infection), rather than as a growth promoter, we will slow the emergence of drug-resistant organisms in human populations.”
-The Journal of Infectious Diseases, HealthDay

Dr. Keith and Laurie Nemecs comments on antibiotics and animal products may pose risk to humans.
The important thing that study showed was that as we put more and more antibiotics in the feed of animals for two purposes, one as the study showed was to boost their growth, the antibiotic actually acting as a growth stimulator. The second one antibiotics because of the way these animals are raised in such disease infested, closed cramped quarters, that they have to be on antibiotics regularly or they would forfeit a majority of their livestock. Interesting that one of the antibiotics used to boost the growth in the animals, virginiamycin, this drug was banned in Europe but farmers are allowed to use it in the United States. Makes you question how the United States sees these risks of medication to the long term health of the United States population. Also what it showed in this study was when people ate this food, that was antibiotic ridden, what they found was 38% of the hospitalized patients had a genetic trait that might make it easier for them to develop the resistance to these medications, but none of them were found in a vegetarian. Which means when a vegetarian, that does not eat animal products, is not eating these antibiotics that weakens the system and tends to lead to antibiotic resistant bacteria and other pathogens in the body.

So, they closed the article saying that the research makes a strong case for the limited use of antibiotics in food producing animals and only using antibiotics for therapeutic purposes such as treating an infection. There is even a problem with this. When they raise these chickens in such cramped quarters where they can hardly move, they are so tightly packed. They will always be diseased. Their bred for weakness, they are just bred to grow fast and to be slaughtered and to be harvested. So it is very important to understand if they use the antibiotics only for infection they will be using it on all of them because they all have disease. This is why animal products will always have antibiotic residue, you will be on antibiotics when you are eating animal products and this includes, meat, chicken, any type of livestock, beef, pork, any livestock at all will be filled with antibiotics. This also includes dairy products, milk, butter, cheese and yogurt. These all will have the same traces of antibiotics which make super strains of antibiotic resistant bacteria and this is what we’re finding this day and age. There are now emerging a type of bacteria that is antibiotic resistant because it has adapted that way because of the overuse and abuse of antibiotics. So the answer is first of all, not to pump the animals up with antibiotics to stimulate their growth and to get rid of infection.

The real answer is found in adopting a plant based diet as more of the world eats a plant based diet there will be less sickness and disease. There will be more health in the world and we won’t have to be dealing with the issues of pumping up animal products with hormones and antibiotics and quote “stimulating” antibiotics and medications, because we simply will not be eating them. The best steps to total health, to boost your immune system so that you can be the highest level of health in body, mind, emotions and spirit is the 7 Basic Steps to Total Health.

How is Total Health Institute Different?

Dear Total Health Seeker,

What is our approach at Total Health Institute? It is to find the true cause or causes of your health challenges. We do this with comprehensive testing and analysis (our initial examination). We evaluate all systems of the body:

  1. Nervous system
  2. Immune system
  3. Hormonal system
  4. Cardiovascular system
  5. Digestive system
  6. Elimination system
  7. Lymphatic system
  8. Structural/Musculoskeletal system
  9. Biochemical system
  10. Mental/emotional state

With this “systems” approach we find all the causes of blockage and imbalance in your system not just the ones causing your immediate symptoms.

There are four types of energy that maintain and restore health. They are:

  1. Biochemical- this is through diet, supplementation or medication
  2. Bioelectrical- this is through biophotons produced in sunlight and living foods, this can also be inputed into the body through specific frequency bioelectric therapies
  3. Mechanical-this is through normal motion of the fluids (cerebrospinal fluid, blood, lymph) and joints in the skull, spine and extremities. Life is motion.
  4. Mental/emotional-this is through a knowing the Truth that will set you free and removing stored mental/emotional programs and traumas.

You can see that a doctor who writes a prescription for a symptom that potentially can have 7-500 side effects is only working on the biochemical energy and in a very ineffective way except in emergencies.

The alternative doctor who uses vitamins, herbs and diet is a better approach than medication but still only working on one of the four types of energies that maintains/restores health. The best result is 25% improvement.

At Total Health Institute, our treatment and teaching programs address all four types of energy to restore total health of body, mind and spirit. This is why so many have healed themselves where before they had failed.

Our goal is that you be medication free (if there is no permanent organ damage or loss) and doctor free (except for accidental injuries and emergencies).

Would you like to go to one doctor who finds and corrects all the causes of all the imbalances in your body even before they all surface with symptoms rather than waiting for each symptom, condition or disease to manifest and then try to put each “fire out” as they begin to burn?

This is like one of our patients who was diagnosed with diabetes one year and took medication to control it, then the next year she was diagnosed with autoimmune disease and was put on steroid medication to control that. The following year she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and again put on medication to control it, then depression was diagnosed and more medication and finally in the fifth year she developed cancer for which she underwent surgery and chemotherapy which seemed to help but then the sixth year the cancer came back worse than before. She underwent more chemotherapy, more surgery to no avail. She finally contacted Total Health Institute where she began treatment and six months later she was medication free and doctor free finally living a total health lifestyle, being balanced in body, mind and spirit.

At Total Health Institute, we do not need your medical records because we are not treating your symptoms, conditions or diseases. We are going to find what is the true underlying cause and balance all systems and states so that you too can become all that God has created you to be in body, mind and spirit.

To Your Total Health,

Child Cancer Survivors Have Poor Health As Adults

Thirty years after their diagnosis, 40 percent of cancer survivors have a serious health problem and a third have multiple problems, including stroke, heart disease and kidney failure, according to the largest study ever done on cancer survivors who have entered adulthood.

Only about one in three remain healthy.

“This is the dark side to being cured of cancer as a young person,” said Philip Rosoff of the Duke University School of Medicine in a commentary in The New England Journal of Medicine.

The findings are a stark counterpoint to the stunning success of treating many childhood tumors. About 20,000 children are diagnosed with cancer in the United States each year and while most died 50 years ago, the cure rate is now greater than 75 percent.

Doctors have known for years that cancer treatment can spark new tumors later in life.

“It is now clear that damage to the organ systems of children caused by chemotherapy and radiation therapy may not become clinically evident for many years,” said the research team, led by Kevin Oeffinger of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

The new Childhood Cancer Survivor Study is based on data from 26 medical centers and marks the first large-scale attempt to assess other, long-term health problems.
Comparing 10,397 survivors to 3,034 of their siblings, the researchers found that “cancer survivors were eight times as likely as their siblings to have severe or life-threatening chronic health conditions.”

Survivors of bone tumors, nerve and brain cancer, and Hodgkin’s disease, a cancer of the immune system, faced the highest risk.
“By any criteria, these results are alarming,” said Rosoff.

The survivors were 54 times more likely to have required a major joint replacement, 15 times more likely to have congestive heart failure or develop a second malignant tumor, 10 times more likely to have heart disease or thinking problems, and nine times more likely to have suffered a stroke or kidney failure.
The problems “run the gamut of affected organ systems, hinting that even more problems may cloud the future as this population ages,” Rosoff said. Traditional age-related problems may hit this group even earlier than normal.

The source of the health problems varies.

Kidney failure, for example, may come from damage caused directly by chemotherapy or radiation, or from the multiple infections children can develop when cancer treatments hamper their immune system, Oeffinger said.

Drugs used to treat those infections may also play a role.

The risk of stroke may become higher because head and chest radiation may cause premature thickening of the neck arteries, or changes in the heart valves can increase the risk that a clot will form, said Oeffinger.

Dr. Keith and Laurie Nemec’s comments on child cancer survivors have poor health as adults.
The point of this study was very simply: things that you do at one point in your life can have wide ranging effects at a later point. So unfortunately in the medical system the only thing they know for treating cancer is chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. The problem as this study shows, is in these childhood cancer survivors from these medical treatments, 40% of them have serious health problems later on in life and only one in about three remain healthy. One of the biggest point that we want to comment on this which we made bold in the article, doctor’s have known for years that cancer treatments can spark new tumors later in life.

What that means is, when you drop the atom bomb in the body of the chemotherapy and the radiation to destroy cells, they are not specific, they also destroy the immune system. Once you destroy the immune system you open yourself up to all disease including new tumor growth later in life along with the damage organ systems, which affect many other health issues later in life. That’s why as the article showed, cancer survivors were eight times more likely than their siblings to have severe or life threatening chronic health conditions. They also went through the list of all the things that they were more likely to have. It’s important to understand this. There is another way.

The way is the total health lifestyle. When we lead a lifestyle, a God designed total health lifestyle, and we lead this lifestyle day in and day out, what happens is we give the body the best natural chance to boost the immune system to fight off cancer and any other disease. But when we are not proactive, when we decide to just do the easy route, just take a pill, take a drug, take a chemotherapy or radiation, what happens in just this, it can shrink tumors, it can reverse cancer in certain cases, and by the way the only statistically positive results, long term for cancer has been in children, in young children, with certain types of childhood cancers. But as this study even shows long term negative effects later on in life.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to just live a healthy lifestyle and boost the system up so it could fight off the diseases, rather than trying to do a quick fix which has a long term blowout later on in life? We do not want the quick fix, we want the long term correction by leading the lifestyle, The Seven Basic Steps to Total Health lifestyle.

Positive Emotions Can Lower Blood Pressure

Having a positive outlook makes life more enjoyable, and it may also lower blood pressure.

Among more than 2,500 people, the higher a person scored on a questionnaire measuring positive emotions, the lower was his or her blood pressure.

“Our thoughts and emotions do affect our physical processes,” said the study’s lead author. “The nice thing is that we have some control over that.”

There is evidence that positive emotions can help keep a person’s chemical and neural responses in balance, and help people handle stress better, according to researcher.

To investigate whether happiness might be related to blood pressure as well, they surveyed 2,654 people. About half were men and half were women. All of the subjects completed a questionnaire that ranked their degree of positive emotions on a scale of 0 to 12.

The higher a person scored on the test, the lower their blood pressure was, the researchers found. The findings suggest that targeting people’s emotional well-being could be an effective way to help control their blood pressure, researchers said.
Psychosomatic Medicine

Dr. Keith and Laurie Nemec’s comments on positive emotions can lower blood pressure.
What this study showed was very simply how mind affects body and actually we would like to say on the other side body affects mind. So what you do in the mental/emotional realm your affecting the physical and what you do in the physical realm is affecting the mental and emotional. So in this study, what they found was a higher person scored on the questionnaires ranking their degree of positive emotions on a scale from 0-12, the lower their blood pressure was. The the effect was strongest among people who weren’t taking drugs to lower their blood pressure. But it was still significant for men and women who were taking hypertensive medications. The study closes, says the findings suggest that targeting peoples emotional well being could be an effective way to control their blood pressure. Of course it can. We see this time and time again. It says it in the Word, a merry heart does good like medicine. So, what we’re finding is when we have positive emotions and again, emotions can be questionable because you can be happy one day and sad the next. So that would be a lower blood pressure on the happy days and a higher blood pressure on the sad days.

What’s more powerful than that, is to walk in spiritual states of being which are joy, peace, and love and hope. These are not swayed by the environment or the situations. These are deep within you. These are part of your being when you have covenanted with the living God. When you’ve entered the marriage relationship with the living God. So, when we walk in that relationship we walk in a deep inner peace, joy, love and hope that is not swayed by anything. That is the foundation of total health. Because that affects the mind which affects the body. So I will say it again, not only does what you do to the mind affect the body, and the body to the mind.

But what you do in the spiritual realm when you walk in His love, joy, peace and hope, that affects the mind and body most powerfully of all. So, how can we walk in this? First and foremost we have to enter the covenant relationship. We have to say I Do, to the marriage call of the heart instead of the call of the mind, the old lie filled, ego filled, world filled, flesh filled mind. But we have to say I Do to the heart. The heart is where God speaks the truth. It’s where He puts the passion and compassion, and the drive and the purpose of your life in. How do you know it’s the purpose of your life and that He put it there and it’s not just a product of your mind? Because you have nothing to gain and everything to lose in it, but you still must go forward in it because it is in your heart. This is the key. So, remember, to walk in the highest level of total health you want to balance yourselves spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically. Because what we do to one, we do to the other parts. After entering the covenant relationship with the living God we want to live the 7 Basic Steps to Total Health each and every day of life.

Good Early Family Life May Counter Depression Gene

A loving, supportive family can be enough to override a genetic vulnerability to depression, new research suggests.

Studies have found that people who carry a “short” version of the serotonin transporter gene — known as 5-HTTLPR — tend to be more susceptible to depression than people without this gene variant.

But the new findings, published in the journal Biological Psychiatry, show that to be true only of gene carriers who grew up in a stressful home environment. In contrast, the investigators found that young adult gene carriers whose families were warm and supportive had a reduced risk of depression.

The findings point to the importance of nurture, and not only nature, in the development of depression, according to the study authors.
“A strong family life can be enough to reverse the effects of this risk factor,” said lead author Dr. Shelley E. Taylor, a professor of psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles.

On the other hand, a dysfunctional family life may create the stress that sends genetically vulnerable people into depression, the study findings suggest.

Among study participants who said they grew up with a warm, nurturing family, carriers of two copies of the short gene variant had a lower risk of depression.

This suggests that the short form of 5-HTTLPR is “highly responsive to environmental influence,” the researchers point out.
Importantly, none of the study participants who grew up in dysfunctional families reported physical or sexual abuse. Instead, the problems were milder, including “moderate” degrees of conflict and unaffectionate or “distant” relationships among family members.

The implication is that even relatively mild family dysfunction can raise a vulnerable young person’s risk of depression.

Still, people with a family history of depression should know that “genes are not destiny,” according to the study authors. Having a “strong support system that can see you through the tough times,” Taylor said, may make the difference.

Dr. Keith and Laurie Nemecs comments on good early family life may counter depression gene.
Wonderful thing in this study was very simply they found that people could have the predisposition to depression in a genetic trait but they showed that it only manifested in the genes of those who grew up in a stressful home environment in contrast they found that they ones that grew up in warm and loving and supporting families had a reduced risk of depression. The beautiful thing of this was the importance of nurture and not only nature and development or depression. You can put this in development of all genetically related disease. So what is nurture and what is nature? Nurture is the environment that is made can actually change the manifestations of the genes and this is the new field of epigenetics that has emerged. “Epi” meaning above or beyond the genes. The something beyond the genes themselves is the environment the genes are put in that will determine their manifestation.

Nature on the other hand, is what you’re born with. That’s your blueprint, your genetic code, what you have. So, if heart disease runs in a family line, it does not mean that you have to end up with heart disease just because your father had it, your mother had it, your grandfather had, your brother and sisters have it. It means the genetic trait is there. But you can change the environment by living the 7 Basic Steps to Total Health everyday, each and every day of your life. You can go deeper and deeper into healing the root of these things and then you will fully see the power of nurture, which means changing the environment. Not only the mental/emotional environment which this study showed, but the physical environment. Eating pure food, drinking pure water, getting the right amount of exercise, getting the right amount of sleep, and making sure that you deep diaphragm breath.

Live a life of fasting and detoxification, prayer, meditation and stillness. All these things are on the nurture side and can change the environment that can actually heal and reverse the likelihood of disease and reverse the predisposition of this gene of heart disease from manifesting. So, very important to understand that the genes our not our destiny as the end of the article showed. I want to say that again, Genes our not our destiny. Your destiny is what is in your heart when you walk it out fully and you walk it out with perseverance, never quitting, stopping or giving up on what God has put into your heart. This is the key to total health, this is the key to living a total health lifestyle and being all that God has called you to be in body, mind and spirit.

High Bread Consumption Tied to Kidney Cancer

A diet high in refined cereals, and bread in particular, is associated with an elevated risk of renal cell carcinoma (RCC), the main type of kidney cancer, according to a study in Italy.

Diet and nutrition are thought to play a role in the development of RCC, but the effect of specific food groups on the risk of this malignancy is controversial, explain Dr. Francesca Bravi and colleagues in the International Journal of Cancer.

Bravi, from Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche “Mario Negri” in Milan, and associates elsewhere in Italy, used food frequency questionnaires to compare the diets of 767 patients with RCC in the 2 years prior to diagnosis to those of 1534 ‘controls’ who were admitted to the same hospitals for acute, non-cancer disorders.

Those who ate the highest amounts of bread — 28 portions a week — had nearly two times the risk of kidney cancer as those who ate the lowest number of portions per week, 9, she found. A “portion” was defined as 50 grams or 1.7 ounces, the equivalent of a slice or a slice and a half of bread.

Comparing the highest with the lowest intakes, consumption of bread increased the risk of RCC by 94 percent, pasta and rice by 29 percent, and milk and yogurt by 27 percent. Conversely, high intake of vegetables appeared to reduce the risk by 35 percent respectively.

Bravi speculated that the elevation in risk linked to high bread, pasta and rice consumption could be due to the blood-sugar raising effects of these foods. Eating large quantities of those foods, she said, may affect the process of getting cancer by influencing the level of substances called insulin-like growth factors, which have been implicated in cancer.

Even though more study is needed, Bravi said, “Our study suggests that a diet poor in refined cereals and rich in vegetables may have a favorable role on the risk of renal cell carcinoma.”
-International Journal of Cancer

Dr. Keith and Laurie Nemecs comments on high bread consumption tied to kidney cancer.
Interesting in this study was showing that the consumption of bread increased the risk of renal cell carcinoma by 94%. Pasta and rice by 29%, and milk and yogurt and other dairy products by 27%. Conversely they said the intake of vegetables appeared to reduce the risk by 35%. What they also showed was that eating these quantities of food may affect the process of getting cancer by affecting the level of substances of something called insulin like growth factors, which have been implicated in cancer. Also, it showed that a diet poor in refined cereals and rich vegetables may have a favorable role in the risk of renal cell carcinoma. So very simply, to sum it up it is this: When we eat bread, when we eat pasta, when we eat rice, when we eat these things that turn into sugar in our body, they have glycemic indexes. What glycemic index means is how much, and how quickly the food turns into sugar in the body. The problem is cancer eats sugar, and it eats it faster than any another cell in your body.

So if you’re eating anything that turns into sugar, the cancer cells are going to take it first and it’s going to promote further growth of cancer of any type. It does not have to be just renal cell; it’s any type of cancer. So, the more we decrease our sugar intake, the more we eat a diet of living/raw plant foods, the less sugar to grow this cancer, and also the less inflammation to cause the formation and growth of the cancer. The highest inflammatory products in the diet are refined sugars, starches and animal products that are highly acidic and highly inflammatory. The lowest inflammation foods are living/raw plant foods that are uncooked, plant in origin. So how are we going to become cancer protective? We’re not going to just focus on one thing which is our food our diet; we’re going to focus on 7 Basic Steps to Total Health, to prevent cancer and all other diseases from forming in our body.

Blood Detoxification

We need to cleanse our blood through detoxification to keep it from circulating toxins, chemicals and drugs. Your life is in your blood, because without it, no life can exist for more than a few minutes. Blood is the major transportation system of your body, the highway by which all cells are nourished with oxygen, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and phytochemicals. Blood is also the way we get rid of waste products of cellular metabolism (endogenous toxins), and chemicals, drugs and toxins from exogenous sources. Blood carries chemical, toxins, drugs, and other harmful substances to the filtration systems of the liver and kidneys. Blood also transports WBCs, which fight off infections from bacteria, virus, fungi and parasites, and which consume abnormal cancer cells in the body.

Blood is frequently mentioned in Scripture, where it is always equated with life. Blood is the symbol of both the old and new covenants. In the old covenant, animals were sacrificed to show that this covenant was made for life; the shed blood of the animals was meant to be a payment for the sins of the people. In the new covenant, when Jesus Christ shed His blood for us, the blood served two purposes. First, it paid the price for the sin of the world for past, present, and future, because Jesus was the pure, sinless Lamb of God who truly did take away the sin of the world. Second, the shedding of Jesus’ blood established the new covenant between God and all of mankind. His shed blood means those who believe can be forgiven of their sins, because “without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.” (Hebrews 9:22)

Obviously, life—both physically and spiritually—is in the blood.

Unfortunately, many problems can arise in the blood, including:

  1. Inability to carry oxygen
  2. Inability to circulate oxygen and food to needed areas
  3. Inability to fight off bacteria, virus, fungi, parasites, and abnormal cancer cells
  4. Inability to clear or purify toxins, chemicals, and drugs

Blood’s inability to carry oxygen occurs commonly with certain mineral and vitamin deficiencies, especially iron and Vitamin B12. This causes either abnormal red blood cells (RBCs), which cannot carry oxygen properly, or a lack in production of new RBCs. An RBC’s average life span is 90 days. Abnormal RBCs can also result from various diseases, sickle cell anemia and many other anemia disorders.
Blood’s inability to circulate oxygen and food to needed areas occurs in certain diseases (like sickle cell anemia) where the RBC becomes sickle-shaped instead of spherical in shape. This causes poor blood circulation through all the small capillaries. The RBCs get caught and cause cellular hypoxia (lack of oxygen) and then cellular death.

High blood cholesterol and fat also commonly cause this. Fat and cholesterol cause coating and narrowing of blood vessels, decreasing movement of red and white blood cells along with all other vital nutrients. If you had to put a fire out, which works better: A fire hose or a garden hose? The fire hose does, because it is at least 15 times the diameter of the garden hose, allowing more water to come out. We want our blood vessels the same way—clean and with the largest diameter possible, so blood cells can move quickly and freely. The more fat we consume, the more sludging or sticking of the red and white blood cells. And the slower RBCs move, the less oxygen, food, vitamins and minerals can get to the needed cells. And the slower WBCs move, the less they can fight infection from bacteria, virus, fungi, parasites, and the less they can patrol to eat cancer cells. So, the lower the fat in the blood, the better the circulation of red and white blood cells.
A meal high in fat content causes clumping of the RBCs which, after several hours, reduces the overall oxygen supply to the body by 20 percent. It takes approximately 12 hours after the meal for blood flow to return to normal. Many people eat fat in all three meals, causing the body to continuously run on only 80 percent of the normal oxygen supply. This can cause major problems, because the ability of RBCs and WBCs to do their job has been reduced by 20 percent.

The greatest threats to blood’s vital function are:

  1. High animal fat diet
  2. Vitamin and mineral deficiencies
  3. Toxic buildup of toxins, chemicals, and drugs
  4. Diseases of the blood, often triggered by a move away from normal homeostasis (body balance), which is usually a result of toxic buildup

As you can see, good blood circulation is vital to our health. This is why a fever causes the rate of blood flow to increase exponentially. For every degree rise of body temperature, the speed of RBCs and WBCs doubles. So it is not health promoting for someone who is sick to take aspirin, Tylenol, or similar fever-reducing agents, unless the fever becomes uncontrollable with natural healing methods.

What can we do to keep our blood healthy?

  1. Change to more of a vegan diet, avoiding as much animal fat as possible. This will protect from constant blood cell sludging and a 20 percent decrease in total body circulation of essential nutrients, red and white blood cells.
  2. Get all your essential nutrients for the day, including vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acid and amino acid. These nutrients should come from your food, not from synthetic (and potentially toxic) vitamin and mineral supplements. SupremeFood is ideal for this, because it has the essential nutrients in organic food form. It is not a vitamin or mineral supplement. It is food that God made which contains vitamins, minerals, enzymes, phytochemicals and the other essential nutrients. Take it the way God made it; that’s always the best rule. Take your essential nutrients from whole organic food, and take your medicines from the plants and herbs that God created.
  3. Reduce the amount of chemicals, toxins, and drugs going into your system, by breathing the purest air as possible. Avoid fumes and exhausts. Drink and cook with pure water, preferably distilled or reverse-osmosis filtered. Eat organic fruits, vegetables, sprouts, whole grains, seeds, nuts and beans. And eat them raw or uncooked and sprouted, to preserve enzymes, vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals, oxygen and bioelectricity. If you can’t get organic produce, wash your fruits and vegetables with a non-toxic pesticide remover. Or soak them in organic apple cider vinegar and water. Also, take off the skins, which contain up to 50 percent of the pesticide residue. Avoid processed foods and those containing preservatives—chemicals that will make you more toxic. And remember that whatever touches your skin is absorbed into your blood stream within 30 seconds; you’ll look at shampoos, conditioners, and hand-and-body lotions in a whole different way. Read the labels; if you can’t eat it, think twice before putting it on your skin or hair.
  4. Detoxify your blood 2-4 times per year. Our recommended blood detox program includes these herbs, including their primary functions

Personality Influence on Cancer Risk

A new study in rats suggests a link between personality and cancer susceptibility.

Researchers at the University of Chicago say timid rats were more likely to develop cancer and to die sooner than more “adventuresome” rats. The findings suggest the need to examine the links between behavior traits and cancer in humans, the team said.

For this study, the Chicago group used a breed of rats prone to breast and pituitary tumors. Female rats that appeared apprehensive of new experiences as infants remained that way as they grew older. They also died earlier of breast and pituitary tumors than their braver sisters.

The more timid rats were also more likely to have irregular reproductive cycles than the tougher rats — 52 percent vs. 22 percent. This disruption may account for hormonal differences associated with the development of cancer at an earlier age, the researchers speculated.

By the time they were 390 days old (middle age for rats), 80 percent of the timid rats had developed mammary cancer, compared with 38 percent of the bolder rats. The timid rats had an average life span of 573 days, compared to 850 for the more adventuresome rodents.
University of Chicago

Dr. Keith and Laurie Nemecs comments on Personality influence on cancer risk.
What this study showed was timid rats developed mammary cancer 80% of the time when they were bred for this type of cancer. Where bolder rats, only 38%. The timid rats had an average life span of 573 days, where as the more bolder, more adventuresome rats had a life span of 850 days. So, what this means to you is, you can’t change your personality, but what you can do is live fully in the moment and take the gifts of your personality and live them fully. So, if a person is more quiet, more restrained personality, more Type C personality, doesn’t want to make waves, wants to please everybody, studies have shown that person has a higher cancer risk. But, this does not have to be if first they stop living from their personality, but use the gifts in their personality to touch those around them and second that they don’t live from the ego side of the personality.

When a person doesn’t want to make waves and doesn’t want to upset anyone, and doesn’t want to have anyone think any negativity, or think lowly upon that person. That’s just another byproduct of ego, which means you are on the throne of your life, instead of God being on the throne. So, when we still our mind, when we walk in this total health journey, when we decide to go forward and break free from the bondage of the old nature, the old mind, the old will, the old emotions, and this ego that binds us and keeps us so tightly under our control, then we will follow what the Spirit of God has put into our heart. When someone is walking in that, even if they are a Type C personality, they’ll know when to speak up because the Spirit of God will prompt them to speak up, to speak the right word at the right time in the right situation. This brings health and healing to the body. This will not cause an increase of cancer because a person will be not storing up negativity but instead they will be releasing what the Spirit of God has put in them.

Yes, they will still be a Type C personality, yes they’ll still be more quiet than the average stronger more dominant Type A personality, but they should have no more increase of any disease when they are walking fully, obeying what God has put into their heart and always remembering that whether you eat or you drink or whatever you do, you do it all to the glory of God, and this includes your personality. Your personality can glorify God as long as it’s opened up to the leading of the God’s Spirit in each and every situation. The way to balance the personality so that the Spirit of God can flow through you powerfully is to balance your whole being and that is what is done with the 7 Basic Steps to Total Health.
